Event Description:
Moneytalk is reaching out to the community to help provide school supplies and more to two of our local Title 1 elementary schools - Neiman and Shawanoe.
We have partnered with an organization called Group Sales where we can purchase back to school items in bulk and at a significant discount. This will allow us to pool all the donations together and make your money go further. Also, by going through Moneytalk to support this school supply drive, you are making a charitable donation.
We will be working with the teachers to determine which supplies are needed. We will be working with the school to determine if it would be best to pre-pack supplies or allow the students to "shop" with a volunteer. Either way, volunteers will be needed when this happens.
Any funds collected above the school supply needs will be used to ensure each student has a school shirt, yearbook, and meals over the weekend for as long as the funds last.

Moneytalk is asking you to help provide:
- Backpacks full of the needed school supplies for the 1,000 students in these two elementary schools
- School shirt for each student to help them feel a part of something (sponsorships will most likely be available for the backs of the shirts)
- Yearbook for each student
- Food program to provide food for the students and their parents over the weekend
- If school does not open, food will be provided during the week as well
- Small rewards for learning and participation
Your $50 donation will provide all of these items for 1 student.
