Secretary Shultz will take a deeper dive into the current labor market\, trends we are experiencing\, updates from the department\, and what Kansas businesses can expect heading into Q4 2022.\n\n\n\nAbout Schultz:\n\nAmber Shultz is the current Kansas secretary of labor. Gov. Laura Kelly appointed Shultz to the position on January 29\, 2021\, to replace Acting Secretary Brett Flachsbarth. She served in an acting capacity until the Kansas State Senate confirmed her appointment on March 31\, 2021.\n\n\n\nAmber Shultz earned a bachelor's degree and M.B.A. from the University of Kansas. Shultz's career experience includes working as the general manager of the Municipal Services & Operations Department for the City of Lawrence\, as the deputy director of public works and a technical support division manager for the City of Topeka\, Kansas\, and as an assistant IT director and a GIS developer with Jackson County\, Missouri.
