That Thursday morning\, which is also the first day of the major festival Old Shawnee Days\, the O.S.D. Society hosts a morning celebration to thank volunteers and sponsors for their hard work and support for the coming weekend. The Old Shawnee Days scholarship recipients will also be recognized in addition to the naming of the parade grand marshal.
