The Shawnee Chamber Annual Dinner has returned! This year's theme - Velvet and Vice, presented by A.L. Huber Construction - will be a speakeasy and casino. This is the Shawnee Chamber's most elegant night of the year.

Dress to impress in your finest cocktail attire. Mingle with business and community leaders over cocktails (and mocktails) and a memorable dinner, then try your luck at the blackjack and roulette tables. Between the dim lighting, live entertainment, and a few well-kept secrets, every detail is designed to make the night feel like a hidden gem.

At the heart of the evening, we’ll also present the Heart of the Community Award, honoring an individual or organization whose generosity, leadership, and dedication have made a lasting difference in Shawnee.

When and where is the Annual Dinner?

What is the attire for the evening?

Cocktail or formal

How can I book a hotel room for the event?

Reservations to book a hotel room at the Overland Park Sheraton on the night of Saturday, January 23rd, 2027 will be available soon.

Where should I park?

Parking is available in the West hotel garage and the Convention Center North lot.

What should I expect?

When you arrive, you will check in at the registration table near the hotel lobby. You will then be transported to the world of Velvet and Vice, where a secret speakeasy awaits. We will have a reception from 5:30-7:00, then the ballroom will open for dinner. After a short program, which includes the presentation of the Heart of the Community Award, the casino will open for gameplay.

Are there opportunities to make the night more special?

Absolutely! We will have fun, engaging games and a big board auction where you can win wonderful prizes. In addition, the casino gameplay offers a chance to win even more!
