Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
This volunteer position, under the supervision of the Executive Director, will be responsible for performing various bookkeeping and accounting duties.  The primary responsibility of this position will be to input data into QuickBooks.  The desired individual will have prior experience with QuickBooks as well as experience in the not-for-profit area and be detail oriented.  The ideal volunteer will be professional with a friendly and outgoing personality.  It is imperative that this individual be a self-starter with a good work ethic and is reliable to see tasks through to completion. 

HOURS:  Flexible; depending on level of experience, we anticipate 10-15 hours per month (3 to 5 hours per week).

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Prior QuickBooks experience required.
  • Non-profit experience a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills desired.
  • Organizational, problem solving and analytical skills helpful.
  • Individual must possess the ability to manage priorities and work flow.
  • Individual must be self-motivated and a self-starter.
  • Strong mathematical skills and interpersonal skills desired.
  • Individual must provide a written faith-statement.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a newly created volunteer position and it is evolving.  However, the primary responsibility of this volunteer will be to work with the Executive Director to input data into QuickBooks.  This individual will also be responsible for providing a monthly summary of reports as requested by the Executive Director and the Board Treasurer.  This volunteer may also work closely on a regular basis with the Board Treasurer to ensure federal and state requirements for reporting are developed in QuickBooks and available as may be needed.
